Overview

Chargehound is looking for an Account Manager to drive the adoption of our industry-leading technology with some of the largest and fastest-growing merchants in the world. This is a highly versatile role that requires you to switch gears from interacting with clients at large corporations across hierarchies to small technology-driven ventures to partners in the Fintech space. Internally, the Account Manager is the connector between Sales, Product, and PR. You will be a trusted partner and consultant to our clients, driving their success and addressing their needs.

We’re looking for an exceptional communicator who can work with a wide range businesses as well as manage a growing number of accounts.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Sales to onboard new accounts, then monitor performance metrics and product updates.
  • Retain and drive revenue with existing accounts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the product and industry in order to drive customer success and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Communicate and interact regularly with accounts to provide performance metrics and address needs.
  • Act as an internal liaison to coordinate both non-technical and technical work necessary to onboard, manage, and support accounts.

Who you are:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in account management, consulting, or business development (additional experience in these or other fields is welcome).
  • Experience in the fintech or payments industries is preferred but not essential. Experience at an internet or SaaS company is also a nice-to-have.
  • Natural relationship-builder who is comfortable communicating with a wide range of people at businesses of different sizes, industries, and growth stages.
  • Ability to cultivate trust in a technical product — you know what an API is and the difference between HTML and Javascript.
  • Organized multi-tasker who can manage multiple projects without dropping the ball.
  • Motivated by new challenges and a high-growth environment.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Keen to drive analytical insights and test hypotheses to drive performance.

*Don’t know what a chargeback is? That’s okay, we bet you’re a quick learner. Here’s a primer:

A chargeback happens when a consumer disputes a payment they made using a credit card. Sometimes, this happens because of credit card fraud. But a lot of the time, the consumer just forgot that they bought something, doesn’t recognize the charge, or wants a refund.
